Chatri Sityodtong Invites Paquiao for a Boxing Match Under One Championship

Manila, Philippines. Chatri Sityodtong, the Founder and CEO of One Championship announces and invited the "People's Champ" Manny Pacquiao for a boxing match under One Championship Card.

Earlier this afternoon in his opening statement for the One: Reign of Kings Press Conference held at City of Dreams Manila, Sityodtong congratulated Manny Pacquiao for his recent victory against Argentina's Lucas Matthysse. Pacquiao won through a 7th round TKO claiming the WBO Welterweight belt in boxing. 

Sityodtong announces that One Championship would like to showcase boxing as well as all flavors of combat sports in celebration of Asia's greatest cultural treasure which is martial arts in its most authentic format. "Me inviting Manny Pacquiao, I am dead serious, if he says yes, then let's do it! I'd love for him to defend his title here in the Philippines and give the Filipino fans what they want," according to Chatri.

One Championship (ONE), the largest global sports media property in Asian history, returns to Manila this July 27, 2018 in Mall of Asia Arena for the ONE: REIGN OF KINGS, featuring the absolute best in local and international martial arts talent that are set to take the ONE Championship cage by storm. 

Team Lakay veteran Kevin "The Silencer" Belingon  (18-5) from Baguio city, Philippines will square off against the two-division world champion Martin "The Situ-Asian" Nguyen (11-2) of Vietnam and Sydney, Australia in a highly anticipated showdown for the ONE Interim Bantamweight World Championship. The two athletes are both known for their incredible knockout power  which will surely excite the crowd and MMA enthusiasts.

Also on the card are co-main event participants, former ONE Lightweight World Champion Shinya "TobikanJudan" Aoki (40-8, 1 NC) of Japan and Shannon "OneShin" Wiratchai (9-2) of Thailand will compete under the Lightweight category. The legendary Renzo Gracie (13-7-1, 1 NC) of Brazil will face veteran Yuki Kondo (60-34-9) in a historic farewell match for both martial artists. Philippines' former ONE Lightweight Champion Edward "The Landslide" Folayang (19-6) will also battle against the undefeated Russian opponent Aziz Pahrudinov (20-0-1). They will be joined on the star-studded card by several of the world’s best martial artists such as Garry Tonon, Joshua Pacio, Pongsiri Mitsatit, and Stefer Rahardian.
